THIS PLACE.

i found this house on pinterest and fell in love. it's so simple, yet there is so much to look at. i love the wide open spaces, clean lines and bright fresh feeling that oozes from the photos. those fireplaces aren't too shabby either. if only i had an extra million lying around. that and if we lived in sweden of course.

A DREAMY KITCHEN.

how perfect is this kitchen?! to me it's perfection. it is every bit of what a country kitchen should be and every bit my dream kitchen. aaand there's that kill your tv print that i have been lusting over for so long. one of these days i am going to bite the bullet and buy that sucker. this lovely kitchen that makes me want to scoop up my kids, run to the country and bake pies all day is from this wonderful blog. one day, one day soon, all of our country dreams will come true. positive thinking works!

PRETTY CLUTTER.

don't get me wrong, i can appreciate a clean, minimalistic, modern space and i do strive for a bit more of that in my life but there is something about the floor to ceiling "stuff" that always makes my heart pitter patter. the colors, the lived in feeling that goes along with a little well placed clutter. this space is a perfect example of pretty clutter. not so much to where you're pushing hoarder status but just enough to feel inspired, to feel warm and at home. there is so much good in these spaces, so much detail, so much to look at and discover. this space sparks imagination and makes me want to be creative. i think we all need a little pretty clutter in our lives.

I'M MOVING IN.

confession: i have always been a peek-er, a snoop if you will. when you invite me to your house for dinner and i ask to use the bathroom, i am the one who peeks behind your shower curtain to see what kind of shampoo and conditioner you use. i feel a little creepy saying so, but i bet many of you are little snoops yourselves. i am the one that while out on an evening walk, will look into your open windows to see what your home looks like. close your curtains if this bothers you because i cannot help but have a good look. this is what i love about the selby. the detailed glances into some of the most unique homes and spaces out there and without that guilty "i'm a creepy snoop" feeling.

the space above belongs to uchida-san and is no exception. i must have missed when the selby originally posted it because i only just discovered it recently. wow, so inspiring. so beautiful. so unique and so lived in. there are so many things about this space that i admire. just the kind of motivation i need while re-vamping a couple of rooms in our home.
