some good things that are making me smile today. first and foremost, my handsome "almost" husband didn't have to work. it's rare that he gets a day off, so when he does, i'm kind of in heaven. another good thing... the fact that i am finally getting a handle on the laundry situation over here. these cute little socks hanging to try are pretty good too. fresh rolls of washi tape just begging to be used, thats a good thing. i love to hang pictures with it and to make gifts extra pretty.

and lastly we're listening to christmas music over here. always a good thing. milla plum is OBSESSED with zooey deschanel and loves to listen to all of our she and him records. her favorite is a very she & him christmas and shes been playing it over and over. she also announced today that maybe, just maybe, she would like to dress up as zooey for halloween. cutest!

it's little me at the age of three. i sure wish i had that blouse in adult size. my mom dressed me up in some pretty fancy digs. i'll have to scan more photos one of these days to share with you. it's weekend time my friends... our garage sale plans are sadly being postponed due to a weekend rain storm. i guess we will keep on truckin' on this house cleaning, organising and painting fiasco. i secretly hope that the storm gets bad and the electricity goes out one night so we can relax and hang by candle light. just be together without distractions. i have had some of the best times during power outages.

I LOVE THIS.

i cannot even tell you how much i can relate to this amazing art piece by kris atomic. i have been called out on my "bitch face" ever since i can remember. i have had people tell me "why don't you smile more." or "gosh, you would look much prettier if you smiled." well... i'm sorry if i am offending you, stranger at the super market, but that really is just the way my face looks. i tend to smile with my mouth closed. (i suppose i am self conscious of my little teeth.) it's a habit that i am actually trying to break. also... my mouth turns down at the corners naturally, so if i am not SUPER DUPER SMILING then sometimes you cannot tell i am smiling at all. i have had countless strangers, readers and commenters give me their opinions on my smile. sadly i think i suffer from the above... and that's just me. so now that i've explained, maybe the opinions will stop? probably not, but a girl can dream.

i have been on an etsy binge as of late. i just cannot stop searching for little treasures to make apart of our home. i think i'm addicted. vintge toys have been on my shopping list this week. here are a few of my finds...

a small globe piggy bank to save your quarters from the tooth fairy.

the prettiest tiny tea pots to fill those tiny tea cups.

i love buying unique toys for my kiddos to get creative with. ones that aren't big and bulky and plastic. these ones are all so very pretty!
