CHAMPAGNE THURSDAY

sofia coppola contacted me recently and asked if i would like to host a small get together and they would supply their sofia blanc de blancs sparkling wine. of course i said "yes!" because not only do i love an excuse to get together with friends, but i happen to love sofia's blanc de blancs. i had only had the mini's (those cute little pink cans are so fun) and had no idea that they had bottles too. we spent the evening, now coined "champagne thursday", snacking and sipping with the some of our favorite nashville pals.

here's a fun champagne cocktail for you...

2 parts sofia coppola blanc de blancs
1 part st-germain
sliced strawberry
a twist of lemon

pour ingredients into a chilled glass and stir gently. float strawberry slices with a lemon twist. enjoy!

A KINFOLK GATHERING

i had the pleasure of attending the kinfolk campfire workshop and dinner this past weekend. my lovely friend rebekka hosted it at her stunning home alongside my new friends hannah and beth aka local milk, who might i add, is a marvel in the kitchen and has such a way with making everything she touches irresistible. these ladies did an outstanding job. the family-style meal was truly a work of art and you could feel the heart, thought and passion that went into this beautifully done event. well done ladies! you went above and beyond.

the company was wonderful and some new friendships were made. we bundled up lavender fire starters, learned how to bake apple pie outside in a cast iron skillet, indulged in homemade smores and sat around the fire telling stories after the sun went down. kinfolk is meant to bring together community and collaboration... it definitely did just that.
