we have started some simple preschool activities with birdie a few times a week. they are usually done in the afternoon after the big kids have finished school and she has woken up from her nap. i am reading a couple books for reference right now and so far i am liking them. you can find them here

. i haven't gotten very far in either, so i am not going to comment on if i have a preference or give any real opinions yet, but as i get farther along i will be sure to share my thoughts with you.
i ordered birdie some modeling beeswax
for preschool play and she loves it. we all do actually. it's pretty fun to use and doesn't dry out like play-doh or clay but my favorite part is that there's no mess afterwards. the thing that i am loving about home preschooling birdie the most right now is that the big kids love to get involved. they want to be right by her side and teach her so many things. it's pretty incredible to see.
we are only just scratching the surface of this new stage with birdie so i don't have much to report for those who have been inquiring, but i will continue to share regularly in my weekly homeschool posts.
