A GOOD WEEKEND.

this little lady turned one yesterday. we threw her a small backyard party with close friends and family. i will share some pictures with you soon. she opened presents this morning because yesterday she just wasn't that into it. it made for a fun filled sunday morning. we spent the rest of today just hanging out in our jammies, snacking on left over birthday food and watching movies. this upcoming week is going to be a crazy one. we're starting home school and getting back to normal structured life. summer vacation is officially over. it's bittersweet but we are all pretty excited. hope you had a lovely weekend. xo, james.

i am so happy to have these kiddos back home. we decided to take family photos today with the newest member of our family... frances. we took a walk through our neighborhood, frances is still getting used to her leash, and spotted this bright orange wall that we thought would be the perfect backdrop for our pictures. we had way too much fun hamming it up with our new puppy for the camera. BIRTHDAY PART TWO: DRINKS AT DOWNHOUSE.

i spent the night of my birthday in the company of good friends. we had some drinks around a big table, laughed, played cards, told stories and snacked on rosemary fries. now that birdie is sleeping through the night, it will be a little easier to spend an evening with the pals every now and then. we're already planning our next get together, a low key evening with games, good music, wine and hors d'oeuvres over at our place.
