my sweet friend pilgrim lee sent the most adorable care package our way from melbourne australia. inside were a few lovely goodies for the kids and myself. a sweet handmade dress for birdie made from vintage kitten fabric, the cutest play date invitations made from recycled little golden books, a pretty bird hair pin that milla plum quickly snagged and two kinder eggs that the kids quickly unwrapped and shoved in their mouths before i had a chance to photograph them. we don't have kinder eggs here in america, but i sure wish we did. the kids loved them, especially the little prize that comes inside.
my very favorite thing inside this care package from miss pilgrim were these... and let it be known that these are ALL MINE. i'm not sharing.
pilgrim and i got into a conversation months and months ago over twitter and some how the subject of crispy m&m's came up. crispy m&m's are my all time favorite candy and sadly i have not seen them on the market shelves in years. totally devastating for someone who would eat them at least one a week. well, my sweet australian pal found some over in her part of the world and sent me two big bags. what a doll! it's funny because as soon as i opened the package the kids said "oooh, m&m's!!! one for each of us." (as in one for julian and one for milla...) "nope, these are mommy's. now shoo!" just kidding, i didn't say shoo, but i wanted to.
thank you pilgrim! you made my day. big hugs and smiles from texas!!
footnote: pilgrim has a blog too and it's mighty fine. take a peek if you get a chance, i'm sure you will love it.
