so i'm embarking on a little macaron journey. i wish i could tell you that i am packing up the family and traveling to paris to learn french and eat macarons in la boulanger but that would just be a lie. instead i am going to attempt to make these little delicious pretty things at home. i found a recipe that i trust and although i have heard and read that they are quite difficult to make, i am up for the challenge. i'm kind of ridiculously excited about this. of course i will share my macaron making experience with you all so stay tuned.
little fact... i thought macaron was spelt 'macaroon' but through my reasearch on how-to make these little devils, i found that the english spelling is macaroon and refers to the popular coconut macaroon cookie. a french macaron however, has only one o. shinfo? (shitty information) ...maybe, but i thought i'd let you all know incase you were confused like i was. ::winks::
have you ever made macarons? any tips for this wannabe french baker? i'd love to hear more... xo.
