five. weeks. old. (a wee bit late.)

little gemma bird is getting so big. i can't believe it. she's smiling too, YAY!!! she is seriously such a little sweetie and makes the cutest little coos and squeaks. we just love her so. every morning after aubrey drops the kiddos off at school we load this little birdie into her stroller and walk down to our favorite neighborhood coffee shop, waving at neighbors and passers by along the way. we chat with friendly faces, sip our coffee and nibble on delicious croissants. it is such a wonderful way to start the day.

gemma has been a little champion sleeper this week. she has been sleeping "almost" through the night. she's been snoozing about six hours without waking which has been so nice and we are oh-so appreciative! she does like to be held a lot. we've been trying to have her "hang out" more on her own, next to us, in her little bouncey seat, etc. which she will do for a little bit but she is definitely a cuddle bear and loves her mamas arms.

highlights of the week:
- giving us real smiles! (not just gassy ones.)
- dance parties in the living room.
- our morning coffee trips.
- family walks in the evening.
- sleeping like a big girl!
