well, maybe not the best week ever of all time, but it was definitely tops in my book for many reasons. here's why...
i made the baby bird a pretty doily pillow inspired my miss rachel denbow.
it's a small crib pillow that i made using a handful of doilies from my collection.
after completing this easy-as-pie pillow, i have decided to create a few other doily projects including a little dress for baby and a pretty doily blanket. i'll let you know how they turn out.
speaking of making stuff, i purchased some beautiful vintage floral sheets to make this little birdies bedding. i think the colors are just puuurfect.
...and i'm starting my very first patchwork quilt for baby. i have quite the stash of vintage fabric and am looking forward to the project. i'm cutting squares today.
the lovely mia from eve's apple vintage was so kind as to send me a little suprise gift in the mail. a little family of fawns to add to my collection. i decided to take them into the morning grass to snap a little photo.
i received some other super sweet gifts for the little bird in the mail from a few of my blog readers that i will be sharing shortly. i need to photograph them first. :)
i ate yummy food including a delicious panini & tomato basil soup from coco's...
and we had taco night. a regular favorite in this house.
the boy & i were given last minute tickets to see the dead weather last night at the house of blues. thanks christian, you're the best!
the show was i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e. seriously. i have been to a lot of shows and this one takes the cake. hands down, best show i have ever seen. i recommend seeing them live, even if you're not a fan, you'll become one quickly.
i made some fun & exciting purchases...
this adorable vintage dress for my milla plum. i'm happy to report that she loves it! i'll post some photo's of her in it soon.
several pairs of little leggings for the baby bird. i bought them on ebay, waaay cheaper than you will find them on some children websites. thank you to miss holly for the heads up!
toms for the whole family...
some adorable tiny pieces from gilt group.
they had the cuuutest little mom inspired baby clothes this week. i got these...
for those who still don't know, gilt showcases clothing, accessories, and more each week. they offer their members limited pieces from these collections at up to 75% off. it's awesome and i have saved tons on cute cute designer and non-designer pieces. join now if you're not already a member. you'll be glad you did.
i actually bought a lot of other things this past week, including our diaper bag, a ton ton ton of baby stuff from various places including ikea, (i'm obsessed with ikea!) and i think i'll post a 'what i picked for baby' type post one of these days for all you mama's-to-be who are curious to know what we bought. i know i am curious to know what other mommies bought so i think the post might be helpful.
oh and,my blog was featured in cleo magazine. such a neat surprise. thank you to syikin for bringing this to my attention. i had no idea and i'm flattered.
i self cut bangs & will darken muh hair soon. i've been feeling so blah, and big and pregnant and need a mini makeover. plus the blond roots are peeking through.
i found a lovely flickr steam.
i have a serious crush on flickr! i can get lost in beautiful photos for hours.
we found yoo-hoo freezer pops! ummm... can't tell you how excited we were when we saw these. i haven't tried one yet, but they've just got to be good, right?
i also found a pint sized formica table with 2 matching pink vinyl chairs, and get this... they whole sha-bang was 59 bucks! HUGE score, if i do say so myself. i will be posting photo's soon. i'm thinking they will go in the little bird's room, but her room is awful tiny so it depends on how they look in there. i don't want a cluttered space, any how, i will be posting photos of the little treasure soon once i find the perfect place for it.
oh my goodness, i could go on. it's been a really fun week, but i'll end here so i don't bore you. thanks for listening! XO.
