good morning!
so i thought i'd ramble about a few things on this overcast and dreary almost afternoon. the boy is still sleeping, he tends to take sleeping in to the extreme when he can, so i spent this morning with the baby bird and kitty. it was lovely. i made myself a fruit salad for breakfast consisting of mango, raspberries, blackberries, bananas and green grapes and had a small glass of orange juice. it was perfect!
i listened to my dead man's bones album. i seriously love this band. i listen to it often and it just doesn't get old. i put them on one of my mixed tapes a few months back, but if you still haven't heard them, they are definitely worth checking out.
i stumbled upon this way cute little tent dress from postlapsaria this morning! i would love it for one of my maternity posts. gotta love the bright retro floral print.
we're still working on the BIG update. sorry for the delay, we've got lot's of really cute vintage pieces coming your way. i also have a friend who has been working with me on an exciting new back end for the bleubird shop, meaning alot more features and no more little glitches, hooray! we are hoping that it will all be done later this week!
i'm also working on the new bleubird newsletter that will be hitting inboxes weekly for a first look at new items and special deals and discounts so be sure to sign up if you get a chance.
ooops... i started this blog this morning, now it's noon. lunch time! be right back. okay, so here's what i made for lunch. tomato basil soup from dacapo's here in the heights with golden crostini for dipping, a small apple and a glass of water. this soup is killer and they only serve it on mondays so i usually buy a few bowls and put them into my fridge and then re-heat throughout the week. yum yum.
i've have this crazy 'i want to move' feeling that i just can't shake. i really want an old sixties ranch style house with big, open spaces, original flooring, big windows, all original fixtures and appliances. and i really want a basement but those are pretty much unheard of in texas. i've been looking around houston but there isn't anything really exactly like what i am looking for so i've been looking out of state a bit, but i can't bare to take my kids out of their school, they love it so much. so i don't know what i am going to do. i guess i'll take my time and decide what's best when the timing is right. but seriously look at this...can you blame me?
it's like my dream house. to bad it's in aspen colorado. i'll find my sixties dream house one day! :)
okay well, i think i've done enough rambling. i have a ton of work to do. there's a lovely giveaway coming from one of my lovely sponsors later this week. it's a really good one, so get excited!
xo, miss james.
p.s. 12:38 and the boy is still sleeping.
