hope you are having a lovely week so far. mine is so so. i'm working on my taxes, which sucks ass, pardon my french, but i loathe nothing more than taxes. seriously, no fun and every year i vow to be more organized and to use quickbooks so that the following tax season will be a piece of cake. but then i never end up doing it. well... this time... i pinky promise, super swear, double cross my fingers that i will be more organized and use quickbooks or something so that next tax season in a piece of cake. and i plan on keeping my promise because i will delegate this lovely task to the boy. yes, he will even get a fancy executive name like the tax inspector or treasury hunk. i love it!
i also have been working on this weeks update, which will be hitting the shop T-O-M-O-R-R-O-W!!! here's a tiny sneak peek. 1. sydney floral pocket dress, $68. 2. jewel spandex mini dress, $68. 3. whillet highwaist skirt, $38. 4. sammie floral dress, $58. we're also offering 10% OFF all bleubirdvintage.com orders this week. discount code: TENOFF

ONE LAST THING... i am accepting blog sponsors for april! here are the details: have a great day! it's beautiful outside here in houston. xo!!!
i know, i know... i did it again! i got waaay behind on my baby bird posts, but i am officially caught up now and i took my 19 weeks pictures today so that i can be on time with them from here on out. :) here goes...first off, let's back track to week 17.
WEEK 17.mommas wearing: vintage duran duran ringer tee. denim leggings & fedora, urban outfitters. vintage combat boots. (click on photos for details.)
here i am at 17 weeks. this week was spent working like crazy trying to get the update and new back end up and running. i bought a few things for the baby bird including a muslin baby blanket which i wish they made in big people size. it's the softest little thing. i also bought some cute cute liberty of london infant dresses and some matching big sister dresses. so cute!
this week was pretty much amazing! we went to see our possible new midwife. she is amazing and made us feel so comfortable. she listened to baby birds heartbeat and measured the baby bump. the little bird is quite healthy and everything looks great. we talked for a very long time about birthing options and about possibly having a home birth. this made me and the boy a little nervous but as she explained the process and the advantages, we have been really considering it. would love to hear from any of you who have had a home birth. i also have some momma friends who have been using cloth diapers, something i never dreamed of nor desired to try, but after hearing their stories and doing some research, we're considering trying them as well. they are really cute too, save you thousands and are so much better for the environment, so how could we not at least try em out?!
for my 18 week shoot i decided to make brownies. something i have been craving a lot of lately... sweets. although the midwife has encouraged to me not eat them and instead to increase my protein and iron intake. so i consider these to be sort of a 'good bye batch' since it looks like my future plates will be filled with nothing but nuts, vegetables, fish and chicken. :)
19 WEEKS.mommas wearing: stripe dress from modcloth. big friend, little friend necklace courtesy of that vintage. levis cut off shorts. skinny brown belt from urban outfitters. vintage fringe moccasins. (click on images for detail.)
i'm feeling great so far this week although i am getting HUGE! nothing seems to fit quite right and i have to use rubber bands to expand my waistlines. i refuse to wear maternity clothes and it's kind of a fun challenge looking for things that fit comfortable and creating stylish outfits for my new momma body.

all caught up now! have a lovely rest of your weekend. xoxo.
