and now for more show & tell...
1. vanessa - Goats!!! My husband got me two goats for Christmas, and I am obsessed with them. So I figured what better thing for show & tell. There names are Montgomery and Lola.
2. rachel - I love my new uke. So far I can only play a C chord, but it's so cute that it doubles as an accessory in my vintage shop's photos. Save tonight by Eagle-Eye Cherry and Heartbeats by The Knife are on the top of my list of songs to learn!
3. katie - I'm expecting that you may get lots of record photos, but this one is very rare and my very fave! The Cardigans: Long Gone Before Daylight on vinyl--very dear to me.
4. kimberly - I really love kids toys right now. Silly string is one of my fave things to keep my 5 and 6 yr olds busy and it also makes one rad photo prop.
5. kimmi - I personally collect old photos of my parents. I love them so much and their old photos are awesome. They think i'm just silly. This picture of them is my favorite, it was from one of their very first dates and they look SO happy. And they still are today!
6. kassi - i love anything my granny gives me... she is 85 and the raddest woman i know. my papa (her husband) would bring home toby jugs for her during his travels with the military and he also collected them while they were living in england. she has given me a few and i absolutely love them. here are two of my faves!
7. mandi - I've been dying for my very own record player, and for Christmas my dad gave me his old one. He also gave me his record collection, so i've been spending my spare time going through and listening to the crackly old things. i love them so!
8. josh - Hi all I'm Josh Ulmer. So what am I into at this moment: this is me with our little daughter!!! She will be 10 months old in 2 days! So this is what I'm into around the house and I'm sure I will be for quite sometime:) Me and my wife spend every spare moment that we get with our lil girl! I'm diggin life with a lil one!
9. katie - i'm really into crocheting granny squares right now! i taught myself how to crochet two nights ago and now i'm obsessed!
10. elise - Nancy Drew Mystery Stories! One of my little goals is to read as many classic books as possible - and these were some of my favorites growing up. Finding a stash of them {including this first book from the series} for cheap in a used bookstore was a real score!
11. holly - Hi! It's me Hollysarah here, with my choco Fujifilm Instax camera. I loooooove it. It's so much fun to take photos with, and it looks cute to display in my home too. A lot of people ask about it because they've never seen one, so it makes a good conversation piece too. Great mini photos to give to friends, use in scrapbooks, just for fun, anything! XOXO!
12. paige - My name is Paige and this is my newly thrifted, perfectly periwinkle travel case. I'm still deciding what exactly to do with it but right now am perfectly happy having it on my shelf, brightening the room. This retro beauty has inspired me to begin a vintage luggage collection, so I'm on the lookout for more!
13. alex - I've always been obsessed with all things monkey-related because when i was a kid my ears stuck out and people called me their "little monkey." For Christmas this year, my lovely twin sister bought me this wool monkey sock puppet hat in San Francisco. It's my most favorite thing in the world right now, and to ass even more excitement to it, I've currently also been obsessed with knit and wool hats in all styles and colors. So this worked out perfectly. :)
14. danielle - I have total love for Matryoshka Dolls! I've adored them since I was a little girl, and as I've gotten older my love for them has only grown. This little cutie is one of the first ones I ever received, from a dear friend. I loved it so much I even got it tattooed on the back of my neck!
15. lindsay - My name is Lindsay, commonly just L or LP. I blog at her sunday dress. For Christmas, my hubby brought home this pretty kitty. I named her Dinah, after the Alice series. When I was sixteen I had the best cat, and she passed away very early in her life. I met Brian soon after and he promised me a new kitty one day. He fulfilled his promise and now I have another "best cat". She likes bubbles, sleeping in clothing hampers and taking picture. She's such a girl and I love her!
16. olivia - My daughter & I bond over nail polish. Our favorite activity, which we do a couple times a week, is to pick out new colors to paint our nails. Our current favorites, which we are sporting in our picture, are Revlon's 'Tropical Temptation' & Eccentric Nails $1 'Purple People Eater'. The names of nail polish also always make us giggle.
17. erin - I have definitely become obsessed with taking photos. I used my iPhone camera all the time. I still do, but my new love is the Nikon D200. It was given to me, by pretty much the coolest guy ever, when I decided to bite the bullet and pursue photography as more of a career. So, year...I take photos... with these. :)
18. natalie - This is one of my latest fascinations.. believe me, I have many! It was hard to pick just one - I love vintage bambi-deer things, vintage bunnies, shoes, just pretty things really! This is a vintage french poster dating from the 1950's. I purchased it last week from Galerie Montmartre in Fitzroy, Melbourne. I will put this up in my girls playroom, which after many months procrastinating, we have just converted from a spare room.
19. christine - I'm spending some time at my parents house where I grew up and decided to go treasure hunting in the attic this morning. Look what I found! One of my all time favorite toys, the baby bunny rabbit! I spent so many hours playing with this one as a child. I am going to take it home and treat it with affection.
20. rachel - My new favorite thing, besides staying warm, is making little dresses from new and vintage fabrics for my daughter, Ruby. It's a new challenge to get the sizing right but I love that her wardrobe will soon be one os a kind!
21. emily - I am show & telling my stuffed pup Newton! I have had him since I was 9 & we have been sleeping together ever since (thats 21 years!) Whenever asked what is the one thing you would go back in to get if your home was on fire, he is the answer (of course my husband & our real life pup Nieco are already out safe & sound)!
22. katja - i am a german girl called katja and i realy love snow. i love it because i can wear my red coat and look super cute in it now! :) photos taken in snow also look very very pretty. there's nothing better!
23. jeremy - I borrowed all of The Hardy Boys books from my local library growing up and I am now collecting the whole vintage series for myself . This is one of my growing collection. I only buy the ones from the 50s and 60s and if I am really lucky I can find them from the 20s and 30s when they were originally published. They're extra fun.
24. margot - i hereby present my camera. why show a camera you might say?! because in 2009 i went through 5 CAMERAS and a personal goal this year is to try to make this, lovely little pink one, go past 6 months! haha!
25. aubrey - Me, my Canon 5D and my cute lil kitty.
26. kate - i got this beautiful alphonse mucha book for christmas and i love it! it;s filled with his gorgeous work. he is one of my very favorite artists but somehow i didn't own any books of his work. so this is my first! i plan to draw a tattoo based on his art and get it done this year (we'll see). i have been wanting to do this for sometime but i'm nervous to get a really large and visible tattoo, but after getting this book i'm even more inspired to do it....eeek!
27. serena - My name is Serena and one of my current obsessions are knee socks. I love that they add a little sass to my outfits and help keep my legs toasty during these cold winter months.
28. anissa - I found this blue scroll pattern Pyrex serving bowl at a yard sale almost 3 years ago. I was so excited because it was still in it's original box and had a little brochure with it. The bowl started my obsession with Pyrex and now I have over 75 pieces.
29. ann - Best Christmas present this year! My mother made me a gift with such meaning. A necklace consisting of pieces from my family history: my grandmothers broach and great grandmothers watch with grandfathers charms and grandfathers badge...and a wee post card booklet at the end- I can't stop wearing it!
30. brandi - I love you but since I can't have that as my love I guess it would have to be my longboard. I have the best time cruisin around with no cares in the world at any given moment. I get to where I need to go while getting exercise at the same time! Since I am not in the mountains anymore or near the beach I longboard and daydream about those places. Jacob and I have the perfect dates when we skate to the park and have a picnic, or find a parking garage that doesn't have a security guard to stop us from skating!
31. amber - Hello! My name is Amber and I loooove plaid and french vanilla lattes. I can't tell you how many flannel shirts I own. I have quite the collection going on. I could wear one everyday of the month and not ever repeat! I drink way too much latte's, but that's okay, right? ha!
32. julian - hi i'm julian and i collect lots of gogo's! these are the ones i got today but i really have 88 of them. there are only 100, so i'm almost done collecting them all! p.s. i'm starting a blog soon too. :)
33. promise - I LOVE MAKING OLD THINGS NEW!!! This past year I attempted my very first furniture re-do. I found this large china cabinet at Savers (thrift store) for only $80. I brightened the paint, detailed the trim, added new handles and spray painted stripes in the back. Sorry mom, there is no china in this china cabinet. :) haha!
34. alex - my name is alex keller and this is my little guy, K. he tells me he loves me, gives me kisses and draws pictures for me. i'm in love! <3
35. kristin - My photo is of me with my "new" Windsor-F plastic camera (similar to the Diana camera) that i found at a thrift store for only $1.00. Score! I've tested it and it takes great, dreamy photos similar to a Holga. Fun!
36. jamie - My favorite necklace....a cutie owl! (and snow falling on my head, lol!)
37. amy - i love photos + cameras of every shape, size and color, but my new favorite is the fuji instax mini. it's the cutest + funnest in the world! :) i'm equally in love with painting, drawing and scrapbooking, and try to encompass all three with regular updates to my art shop!
38. marisa - i went through my mother's old letters and pictures and came across beautiful love letters from my father during their first couple years of dating and marriage. I LOVE them! They are all handwritten with cute little drawings. <3 everytime i see them, i'm reminded to continue to do small things that show my boyfriend how much i love and appreciate him.
39. milla plum - hi, i'm milla and i'm 7 years old. i LOVE pet shops which you can see. do you think this is all that i have? the answer is no. i have a lot more than this much. i have like a million. i even have to have two pet shop tackle boxes to fit them all in. my very favorite one is the lion. i love my mommy!
40. amy - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my collection of Disneyland storybook records. I listened to them growing up and now my kids are wild about them. It makes me all fluttery when "Tinkerbell rings her little bells like this..."
41. malori - This picture has a bunch of my favorite things. The painting in the background is my current obsession. I work at a consignment store and fell in love with it the moment I saw it. :) As for my show and tell, I decided to share my knitting. Right now I'm working on a little snow bunny hat with ear flaps. I go to school in the COLD so it's perfect for keeping my ears warm. I'm knitting a sock monkey too.
42. jessica - This is my little Buddha that I take everywhere with me. He's my good luck charm! I bought him for $5 at the mall when people bring little doo-dads from their countries and a Peruvian guy sold it to me. It's practically been attached to my hip ever since.
43. kimi - Hey, it;s Kimi Starr. My show and tell is my cute lil' pink Dunny by Kid Robot. They come in these cute little boxes and you don't know which one you will get until you buy them. I have been known to stop right outside of the store and rip them open because I can't wait until I get in the car.
44. suzanne - I'm obsessed with charms - on bracelets and necklaces mostly, or even on their own! I have an always-growing collection of them from throughout my childhood, travels, gifts, thrifting, antique/vintage shops, you name it. I have three different charm bracelets that are near and dear to my heart, as well as a few charm necklaces that I made. I know some people who keep their charm bracelets away in a jewelry box but I say wear them! SHow them off! I wear mine all the time! My most precious one of them all was given to me by my mother-in-law when we were going through her old photos and jewelry - it's a vintage gold charm photo holder with a cheesy/adorable picture of my hubby and his two brothers when they were young.
45. jackie - My show and tell is this turtle sculpture my parents brought me from California. Its made out of shells on the top and there's something about it that always makes me smile every time I see it! It's one those "cheer me up" kind if things!
