today was road trip day!!! i went to pick up something really special. i left at 8:30 am and got home around 7pm. yep, count it, almost ELEVEN hours spent mostly driving. i am exhausted, but i'm also so happy & excited about my new goodies!!!
kirby & i drove and drove and drove and drove. we laughed, sang and danced, counted road kill (9 including the poor pigeon that i accidently murdered with my car), stopped for pee breaks, talked in accents, drank coffee & redbull, ate beef jerky & trail mix and told secrets. soooooo fun. then we spotted this...
a HUGE yard sale on a thursday afternoon, ummm amazing & unbelievable, and i scored a couple goodies for cheaps! it was uh-mazing. look at these pretty & colorful chairs they had. i wanted them but my car was full. frown.
we stopped for snacks at buckee's which is THE BEST truck stop/shop ever! i'm a pickle lover and lookie what i found...
ummmm... a pickle lover's dream, no?
we've decided that road trips are a vital part of our lives and we will be taking them often! like all the time often. :)

this amazing vintage fan that "works", the cutest new owl friend and adorable plaid thermos all for 20 bucks. score! and now for the grande finale.........
MY NEW 1950's YELLOW FORMICA TABLE & CHAIRS!!!! it also has a leaf and 2 more chairs but this is all i need in my kitchen for now. :) yaaaayyyyy!!!! can't wait for our next road trip!
