happy happy birthday to me friends mishi & jack the snack.

tonight we will be celebrating both of their special days.

let me just tell you...

last night was crazy. but really fun.

i was talked into going out to a bar here in the heights.

met some fun fun new people.

invited new friends over to my house.

played dress up in the bleubird closet.

traded a pair of manolo's for a chloe cocktail dress

that i adore and will be wearing on my birthday next month.

had a couple glasses of wine.

cleaned up spilled wine.

smoked far too many cigarettes.

went to bed at approx. 5:20 am.

crazy night indeed.

 

i have lots to do but here's a few things before i go...

CHAMP THURSDAY + STYLE MUSE: PEGGY LIPTON

it is champagne thursday again, although i am not celebrating today.

no champagne for me!

i have been having the hardest time sleeping lately and it's taking it's toll.

sleepy + backlogged on work and emails = not good.

so today i've been committed to playing catch up.

i was reading through some of my favorite blogs

the other day and stumbled across this book:

funny because that's my friend binki on the cover.

i haven't seen her in a couple years, since i moved to TX.

but seeing this made me miss her pretty little self and her dry sense of humor,

so now i'm gonna have to give her a call.

also, i love lauren dukoff's photography. ima have to buy this one for sure!

STYLE MUSE: Peggy Lipton.

one of the most beautiful women to walk the earth. (in my opinion.)

a successful model & actress, most famous for her role in the mod squad from 1968-1973. She was also a singer/songwriter and in the early 90's she appeared on the popular tv show twin peaks as norma jennings. she married quincy jones in 1974 and they had 2 children. they later divorced in 1990 but remained close friends. she was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2004 but is happily in remission.

so natural and pretty.

(i am obsessed with that lamp)

i am soooo excited!

and i've been doing a lot of reading & drawing lately in my little book.

here's my newest little girl.

a little hello to you!
last night i picked up muh favorite friend kirby from the airport.
her flight was majorly delayed for hours so i had to pick her up around 3:30am.

we spent the day together, chatting, coffee, dinner & wine. fun fun!
tomorrow i will do a long post full of fun things to look at & i'm working on another mixed tape for you to listen to...coming later on this week. i will also be having a very much anticipated bleubird vintage update with lots of new pretty clothes for your consideration. we're keeping our fingers crossed that the new site will be up sometime next week. please keep your fingers crossed too!

bacon, melted bleu cheese and avacado topped with romaine vinaigrette.

they were sooo good!  recipe here.
