it's champagne thursday!

my foot is feeling a little better today, yippie.

i am in love with this artists work. pepperminte by caitlin shearer.

i will be ordering some prints for my bedroom, which i am redecorating.

today i will be playing catch up with my inbox and doing a little painting myself.

and im feeling the need to watch almost famous. love that movie.

the kiddos come home in just under 2 weeks.

i still have so much to do to prepare. i will be making a list of everything

that needs to be done and get started!

WEE FINDS WEDNESDAY.

it's wednesday and i am feeling a bit under the weather.

{honestly, holy hell i have terrible cramps.}

i'm also pretty much crippled. i had quite the spill on the long board the other day.

i was barefoot and now have to hobble around the house with a cane.

pathetic i know. i'm hoping it heals soon because i'm getting cabin fever.

the boy made me my favorite tomato basil soup. mmmms. what a peach!

he also went along with my camp out in the living room idea.

we blew up the air mattress and built a big blanket fort on the floor and over the

couches & have been watching that 70's show dvd's all day long. it's been great!

WEEKEND AND THE CITY.

hello there! how was you're weekend? ours was fantastic.

 

i got a ton of stuff done from my weekend to-do list, {see post below}, but not everything. i will be finishing up this week. i painted pictures of my kiddos. my first canvas paintings ever! here they are:

 

haha. i didn't think they would turn out so cartoon like, but since they're for the kids, it's okay. i'm pretty happy with them and let me tell you, it is so much fun!!!

 

i'm still trying to decided what to write on the top of my little girls painting.

i made her head a little too big so there's not enough

room to paint anything too big or long.

 

yesterday we rode our bikes downtown for the houston press awards parties.

within a minute of leaving the house, it started to rain and we ended up getting stuck under the 10 for an hour until the rain stopped. 

 

it was well worth the wait. we saw so many of our friends and had THE best time.

we got to see some amazing shows, including a local bluegrass band called the sideshow tramps. they were great! we danced all night long...

riding through the city on my bike is my new favorite thing.

such a fun day.

we were going to try to see this adorable movie. but didn't have time.

we're gonna try and go this week. i can't wait!

time to get working. 2 more weeks til my little ones come home!

it's friday... {edited.}

happy friday to everyone.
today thru sunday i have a ton of plans & to-do's.

first: we got our laptop back from the mac doctors so it's email catch up & shipping day!

second: to the craft store we go. {i'm painting pictures of the kiddos, for their rooms.} shhh. it's a surprise.

third: picking the colors for the kiddo's bedroom walls & then home depot.

fourth: painting & redecorating rooms for their cute little selves.

fifth: laundry. laundry. laundry.

sixth: picking flowers for glass jars.

seventh: garage sales, estate sales & thrifting.

eighth: creating my new sewing space.

ninth: bleubird updates.

tenth: photo shoot with new model.

see!?! it's jam packed. the kiddos come home in 2 1/2 weeks and theirs just so much to do before their arrival. needless to say, i'd better get going. i will try to post again later this evening with my progress.

i have to, have to, have to share this with you really quick before i go.

this is the absolutely amazing, stop-motion sort film by tomas mankovsky.

the video was shot in a gymnasium with a camera suspended from the ceiling.

an amazing work of art. enjoy.

okay, now time to start my looong weekend to-do list.
