you see that little "go away i'm asleep" pillow on the birdies door handle... that used to be on my door handle when i was a little baby. my mom just sent it to me in the mail. i have always wondered what ever happened to that pillow. i thought it was long gone but just recently brought it up to my mom in conversation because i was thinking about making one for the birdie's door and was overjoyed to hear that not only did my mom still have it, but it used to be on her door handle as a little girl too. i never knew that and it brings a smile to my face knowing that it will be passed down from generation to generation. also a few 'new to us' vintage baby toys from a friend and the prettiest vintage print that i have ever seen. i mean don't you agree? it's a beautiful little 1950's dress that will be hanging alongside all of the other tiny dresses in the bird's collection. it is by far my favorite one. i wish it was in grown up size.
this week is crazy. it's the kiddos last week of school, which means countless activities and things to do in preparation for summer. julian had his fifth grade graduation this morning and tonight is his very first dance. he's all kinds of excited and full of nerves. it's very cute. aubrey is bringing a smilebooth to the dance so that all of the kids can take photos with their friends to remember their days in elementary school. oh what i wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall over there tonight. i will be staying home anxiously awaiting his arrival so i can hear all about it.
