here are some of my recent vintage finds. i adore the little metal xylophone. it came with the original mallet too. the two embroidered girls in the frames are so cute. i love their little yarn hair. and lastly this gorgeous patchwork quilt. it's one of the prettiest i have seen and is in great condition. perfect for a little girl's bedspread or a sunday picnic. i just love my new loot!
tonight i am roasting a chicken. i was inspired by my friend elise's dinner last night. she roasted a chicken and vegetables and then sent me a picture as she often does after cooking something fabulous. i have only attempted roasted chicken once several years ago and it didn't go so well, but i am giving it another try and plan on using ina garten's recipe as suggested by a few people who swear by it. wish me luck.
it's been a long day. i went to bikram yoga this morning and it was HELL. seriously i was plotting various ways and excuses for me to walk out and leave early. i am proud to say that i didn't. i finished and am trying to talk myself into going back tomorrow. i think i'm just overwhelmed. i have had a rough month with the mister traveling, a teething baby and trying to balance everything with my two big kiddos, time for myself, keeping up with the house, etc. i had a bit of a melt down today. sometimes even mama's need a good cry. i'm thinking some roasted chicken and vegetables along with a glass of red wine should help a bit.
thanks for listening. XO.
