we had such a lovely weekend. it was jam packed with activities, good friends, costume making and loads of candy. here's a little peek inside our holiday...
saturday we got all dressed up and ready to rock n' roll at the kiddos school carnival. we go every year and it's a blast. music, food, games, rides, friends and FUN! here's milla getting into costume. she was a girl scout and wore a vintage girl scout uniform.
she thought it was missing a little somthing... she wanted to be a little more scary, so we changed it up a bit and she went as a zombie girl scout instead.
muuuch better. : ) julian's costume was pretty amazing...
he was ron burgundy and made sure to entertain us all with funny lines from the movie like... "oh baxter." "scotch, scotch, scotch, i love scotch," and "hey everyone, come see how good i look." so funny!
we brought a big blanket and camped out for hours at the carnival. it was such a beautiful day. the weather was perfect. so nice and cool.
we had so much fun at the carnival but our weekend was only just getting started. we still had to rest up for halloween!!! i made gemma birds costume. it took f-o-r-e-v-e-r! she was a little patchwork birdie...
i made her a little cape with wings and a matching hat out of vintage fabrics. it turned out so cute but unfortunately she wasn't a big fan of dressing up so she didn't stay in it long. she even rubbed her little orange beak off on papa's shirt within minutes. hah!
once it got dark it was time for trick-or-treating. we got all dolled up once again and headed out for some fun and candy collecting.
they got loads of candy and once the houses started closing their doors we headed over to my friend elises halloween/birthday party! we hung out for a bit before it was time to get this little family home and in bed.
