GUEST POST: ALIX FROM MODERN KIDDO.

well helllllo everyone! this is alix from modern kiddo & strawberry lemonade and I'm so honored to be a guest over here at the bleubird nest while ze gorgeous miss james welcomes her little bird into the world!

i'm a big time vintage lover and as i sat down to write this post i thought, "hmmm, what would be the perfect thing to write about? something fashiony.... something vintage....something baby bird friendly." kind of a tall order! and then it came to me. can you guess? here's a clue:

yup, vintage paper dolls! when i was a kiddo, i loved my paper dolls. i think they were one of the first things that got me interested in fashion! i thought my paper dolls were totally stylin' but I have to say that they paled in comparison to these dollies. plucked from the 60s (1967 and 1969 to be exact!) their fashions are bold, colorful and cool. hmmm, kinda like miss james, herself! let's have a little look-see:

ahhhhh! how cute is mod missy and her little wig box? also, is it wrong to covet a doll's wardrobe? seriously, i think i would wear any one of those outfits myself. thanks so much you guys... i hope you had as much fun as i did!

I am so excited to be here on the Bleubird blog today while James is tending to her darling baby bird! While it's only August and we still have a few more weeks of summer (hooray!), my favorite season is right around the corner and I cannot wait!
