TODAY IN PICTURES.

i know that i'm waaay late on the hipstamatic bus, but i just got a new iphone and finally downloaded it. my consensus: IN LOOOOVE and was so excited to take pictures today of things around my house. i know that a lot of people blog their hipsta pics and things they adore around their homes so this may not be the most original post, but i had fun and i'm kind of addicted! enjoy.

LITTLE ME & GIVEAWAY WINNER...

happy monday everyone! i found a picture of myself when i was two. oh how i wish i still had that little rocking chair to give to my little ones. it's so cute. how was your weekend? mine was great but i spent too much time in the sun and have quite the sunburn. this week is a crrazy one! we have so much to do around here. i'm hoping that i will be able to stay organized and really tackle this to-do list. a few things i am hoping to complete this week are... 

* finally finish painting all three kiddo's rooms. not only are we setting up a little nursery for the bird but we are also giving the kiddos mini bedroom makeovers. they deserve new pretty spaces too.

* clean... organize & declutter each room in the house. this is a big one! i've got a lot of stuff and i think it's time we had a yard sale to get rid of some of it. i'm even thinking about having a blog sale for a few things. i've always wanted to do one of those.

* a big ol' bleubird shop update.

* finally finish the baby birds name announcement. (crossing fingers) we had a really fun but time consuming idea in mind for it. i'm hoping i have enough time to execute it or else we may have to switch to plan b.

* fix the bathtub in the upstairs bathroom so it can be used again. right now if you turn the bath on upstairs it leaks directly onto my head at my desk below.

* replace all burnt out light bulbs.

* sewing and completing crib sheets and bedding.

* catch up on laundry.

that's good for this week and i feel like those goals are obtainable. wish me luck!

1. i was craving a veggie burger the other day and had heard that the hobbit hole cafe in rice village has a really good one so i decided to try it out... apparently this place thinks that i am a hobbit. that or i'm eating for twenty. i mean look at that thing. this burger was enormous and kind of scared me! but it was pretty damn tasty. i ate about a seventh of the thing and was completely stuffed.

2. of course i saved room for cupcakes! they opened up a sprinkles in houston this week and i just had to go. the place was packed. i'm not kidding. i felt like i was in a can of sardines. people kept accidently bumping the baby bump and it was quite annoying, but worth it. the cupcakes were delish!!!

3. we had a mini shop update this week... with a new purty model. take a peek...

4. we are super excited about a package that showed up on our doorstep today from our friends over at bum genius... they sent the baby bird a generous supply of their amazing cloth diapers and accessories. our little girl will be diapered in style all while helping the environment. THANK YOU BUM GENIUS! we are very excited about the upcoming giveaway we are doing with them towards the end of next month so stay tuned mamas & mamas to be, it's going to be a good one!

5. lastly... here's a little heads up on what's coming to the shop very soon... we have an incredible update in the works. we got in a beautiful collection of 'Mad Men' era dresses. all of them are from the fifties and they are all stunning. aaaand all in size medium and large. i mean...who doesn't want to look like betty draper?

THURSDAY INSPIRATION.

hello there! i have been doing some major 'nesting' and planning for this little bird's nursery these past few months. i've gathered many small treaures and am still on the hunt for more perfect pieces for her tiny room. here are some beautiful nursery's that really have me inspired and my design for this little one...

you see that vintage french bicycle poster in photo three?... well, i found that bad boy and it is most likely going in the birds room, it might end up in little miss milla's, still trying to decide. i cannot wait to finish my baby birds room and i am hoping to have a a little preview of the progress we've made here on the blog for you soon. we still have so much to do until it's complete. XO!
