it was seriously the best mother's day ever! these little guys, with the help of one grown up guy, couldn't have planned a more perfect day for their mama. first off, these wonderful little people woke me up with lots of presents! a cute as can be vintage milk glass mom mug, a pretty painting with colorful hearts, a cute art kitten and sooo many awesome cards! the mister bought me the super comfy blue dress that i'm wearing in the picks. how sweet! after presents and a lazy morning at home we headed off to an early lunch at houstons, one of the yummiest restaurants. i ordered my favorite salad in the whole wide world and the club sandwich. so yum! there were some highly unflattering 'while eating' photos taken which i quickly neglected to post. but here's a pic of my killer salad.next a little shopping. baby stores, sephora, urban outfitters... fun fun! miss plum found this very "cartoon marketed" make up line at sephora and played with some of the make-up. she's also quite fond of the harajuku girl fragrances. i think this little gal is almost ready for her first perfume. i'm planning a future mommy & me date for that one. :)
after some shopping julian wanted to take me to the chocolate factory. it's pretty much heaven! we spent about an hour there looking at all the chocolate treats, ice cream and cakes. this place isn't kidding, they really know how to cure a chocolate craving. it's a little overwhelming.
i'm talking chocolate covered everything... chocolate covered captain crunch, fruit loops, cookie crisp, cinnamon toast crunch... chocolate covered twinkies, pringles, oreos, rice crispy treats... chocolate covered raspberries, oranges, blackberries, strawberries. it's a chocolate lovers dream. it took us about 40 minutes just to decide on what chocolate goodie we should get. in the end i got chocolate brownie ice cream, julian got a chocolate covered twinkie, milla plum got their own super delicious rocky road ice cream, aubrey got a chocolate covered reeses peanut butter cup and the baby bird got a little chocolate covered raspberry. she told me she wanted it so i had to eat it for her. ;)
and now we're off for my big surprize... this little fantastic family of mine took me to the garden shop to pick out tons o' flowers for our front porch! are you kidding me?! i've been complaining about how much i want a porch makeover for months! i was elated!i picked out so many pretty flowers for our soon-to-be pretty porch. we had to re-pot them in all of the little pots. so fun.
sooo cute. but she finally cam up with the perfect one.
our little house looked so cute once we were done with our little garden porch! i didn't know how much to buy since i didn't get to plan ahead so i will be getting more flowers to add to my little porch later on.
