i seem to be getting busier & busier through out this pregnancy. i work so much and have many projects that i am working on including making several things for the baby birds little room. i feel like i have had very little time to do anything fun and relaxing lately, so i'm making sure to set aside 2 days a week for family time as the school year is quickly coming to an end and the kiddo's will be going to florida for the summer to be with their dad. we recently went to our favorite record store to celebrate 'record store day'. we listened to a great band and bought some records. the kids had a blast! we decided to take our maternity photos there since it's one of our favorite spots and we will be taking the little bird there quite often.

today is earth day and i thought it would be fun to share a few of my earthly/going green bleubird family habits with all of you. personally i find it very important to take care of our little world and to do our part.
recycling.
we recycle in so many ways. buying pre loved is pretty high on the list.
we love yard sales.and thrift stores...
estate sales & flea markets.
we eat locally grown when possible and shop at fruit stands & the farmers market.
we plan on starting our own little backyard garden this weekend. i'm so excited!
we're also cloth diapering our soon-to-be-here baby bird.
cloth diapers are sooo good for the environment and save parents big bucks!
we try to walk or bike ride only on sundays. if we can't walk there, we don't go!
what do you do to go green? i'd love to know.

p.s. i just bought these to make the baby birds crib sheets. i'm also making her crib bumper, all of her bibs and burp cloths out of recycled fabrics. :)
