we just couldn't wait for tomorrow to show you the sneak peek from todays shoot & to introduce you to two new bleubird models.
they just happen to be sisters and are as sweet as can be. meet audrye & arienne. here's a couple of shots from their test shoots earlier today.

TOP OF THE MORNIN' TO YA!
it's wednesday morning. coffee's on it's way thanks to the fella.
to start off the day, here are some new pieces. most are in the shop right now, a few coming later today. tay stepped in front of the camera to fill in due to a model being sick. bout' time, we missed her.

HOME SWEET HOME.
hello there guys & dolls...
we are back from an incredible week of adventure.
we drove to spring field, (a ten hour drive), to visit these beautiful people.
top eleven fave parts of our trip:
1. seeing elsie and jeremy or course.
2. seeing the new RVA shop for the first time. it's adorable!
3. amaretto sours & graffiti...elsie's table will never be the same.
4. thrifting & chatting.
5. pappy's BBQ so damn delicious.
6. watching breakfast at tiffany's in the car somewhere in oklahoma.
7. orange crush freezer pops.
8. getting to see jeremy larson in his studio making magic.
9. small business talk, inspiration and secret sharing.
10. so many flea markets!
11. having some of the greatest best friends forevers.
we had loads of fun. and miss elsie painted this beautiful portrait of us.
it is now hanging in my studio.
we scored lots of great new vintage along with some very exciting new pieces for our home + studio. and some great new vinyl for our collection. whoo-hoo!
this week ahead is going to be a crazy one. we have several test shoots with new models and a BIG OL' shop update coming at you! our new web designer is hard at work working on the newly designed and improved bleubirdvintage.com! can't wait til it's up and running.
new studio space for the interns and a new sewing space for alterations & tweet.
we painted our kitchen turquoise, finally!
still a room in progress. currently looking for a yellow 1950's formica kitchen table & chairs along with several colorful vintage clocks to cover the wall.

A TINY UPDATE.
this past week has been crazy! and since it was such a jam packed, adventure filled, never got a moments rest handful of days, we are only doing a teeny tiny update over the weekend. we aren't doing a sneak peek either so you're gonna have to go the the site to see the new pieces, there's just no time. we will be traveling out of town march 16th-20th & visiting our lovely friend elsie in her far away land. but don't worry, we won't come back without some serious vintage goods!
a heads up for next week: shipments will be a bit delayed. the office will be open part time, but xiomy will be here running the show by herself. all of us other bleu birds are out of town for spring break. will be checking emails daily from the road and thanks heaps to xiomy for being such a trooper.

HOROCOPE.
so tay's and my birthday are a day apart,
mines on august 13th and hers is on the 14th.
someone sent us our horoscope this morning. pretty funny.
LEO: I predict that you will go to a grungy thrift store to shop for bargain kitchen items but will instead buy a magic snow globe depicting a dolphin drinking beer from a fountain that's shaped like a silver stiletto pump, and when you get this talisman home you will discover that it gives you the power to hover and cruise a few feet off the ground, plus tune in to the secret thoughts of people who confuse you, and even time-travel into the past for brief ten-minute blasts that allow you to change what happened. And if my prediction's not accurate in every detail, I bet it will nonetheless be metaphorically true.

WEDNESDAY.
today was a crazy one.
here's the lowdown...
1. ordered a chai latte at coffee this morning. it sucked.
2. went buying and scored on a ton of deadstock dresses.
3. tay did my make up. i didn't like it. but i still love her.
4. ate lunch at freebirds. best damn burrito i've ever had.
5. stopped by cactus music. bought some new vinyl.
6. photo shoot with shelley. she did grrreat!
7. our interns rocked it! lisa organized the studio & xiomy updated the website.
8. tay worked hard hard hard, updated the eBay shop and made me smile.
9. aubrey got all of our taxes done for 2008 without complaining.
10. korey whoo'd + whistled at the bleubird models as usual.
11. i nursed my foot from tripping over a tent whilst being quite tipsy & camping this past weekend.
12. talked to our new web designer. our revamp is going to blow you away!
13. tried to get ahold of elsie. uh-hemmmm...call me lady.
14. reminisced about old punk bands we used to listen to
(pennywise, nofx, ten foot pole, lagwagon... )
15. currently having a relaxing glass of red and answering todays never ending list of emails.
okay. i'm done now. i still have so much to do tonight but just wanted to
post a little note before i jump back into it.
before i go, here is a gorgeous photo...reminds me of bleubird.
i guess it's the eggs that do it for me.
and the like...a bunch of stylish beautiful gals who play pretty pretty music. love em!
